The Next Question: A Leadership Coaching Collective

The question you ask next
Most coaching training teaches good questions. This collective works on something harder: the next question. The one this client’s words actually earn.

Your client just said something. Maybe a word they repeated. Maybe a pause before the last line. Maybe a laugh that didn’t match what they said. What do you ask now?

Come with chat open. You will use it.

About the series
Leaders don’t only face change. They face it in three ways, and each one asks something different of their coach.

  • Transition. A change they chose or accepted: a promotion, a new role, a move up. It looks like a win. It doesn’t always feel like one.
  • Disruption. The ground moves under them: a restructure, AI, a policy shift. The judgment they’ve relied on for years stops fitting.
  • Crisis. No time to think. The stakes are high, the clock is compressed, and the pull to take over is strong.

The six sessions work two of each.

Every 90-minute session runs on the same mechanic. We read a short agreement between a coach and a client. Then the client answers, one coach question at a time, and you build your next move from what they just said: the words, the pause, the emotion. You type it in chat and hold it until we all post together, so you see what you actually heard before the room shapes it.

Then we trace every question back to what triggered it. Some trace to a phrase. Some to a pause. Some to a feeling the client never named. Some don’t trace to anything, and those are usually the most useful moments of the session.

Within a week, every participant receives a short report: each scenario, every question the room wrote, and what triggered it. It belongs to the chapter.

Each session stands alone. The vocabulary builds across the season, so come to one or come to all six.
